CISA® – Certified Information Systems Auditor

The ISACA Certified Information System Auditor certification gives you international recognition as a professional security auditor and increases your market value. This CISA® Training prepares you for passing the official ISACA CISA® exam.

The CISA® training schedule consist of the following:

Day 1:

  • Domain 1: The Process of Auditing Information Systems
  • Review Questions Domain 1

Day 2:

  • Domain 2: Governance and Management of IT
  • Review Questions Domain 2
  • Domain 3: Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation

Day 3:

  • Domain 3: Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation
  • Review Questions Domain 3
  • Domain 4: Information Systems Operations, Maintenance and Service Management
  • Review Questions Domain 4

Day 4:

  • Domain 5: Protection of Information Assets
  • Review Questions Domain 5
  • Test exam

Exam & Certification

The actual exam lasts 4 hours and consists of 150 English multiple choice questions.

To become CISA® certified, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Pass CISA® exam
    • Pass the exam with a minimum of 450 points (out of 800)
  • Apply for Certification
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience needed in IS Audit Domain areas
    • Certification Application should be done within 5 years of sitting exam
    • Waivers possible, see ISACA website for details
  • Agree to Professional Code of Ethics
  • Follow Continuing Education Program
  • Compliance with IS Auditing Standards

Study load and Self study

The total study load for the CISA® is ca. 100 hours. This consists of:

  • 32 lesson hours
  • 70 hours preparation and self study (On average. This can vary from person to person)
